JEE tests the proficiency of class 12 students in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In order to qualify for the All India Rank, a candidate needs to score at least 10 per cent marks in each of the three subjects and a minimum of 35 percent.
There are more than 5.6 lakh students had taken IIT-JEE 2012 Examination across 1,067 centres. Successful candidates, based on their ranking, will be eligible for admission to nearly 9,600 undergraduate seats in the 15 IITs.
